Chris Martin’s Ex-Wife Hangs Out with His Present Girlfriend. Here’s Why Gwyneth Met Dakota without Chris!

Gwyneth Paltrow has managed to not only remain tight with her ex-beau Chris Martin, but she has also become friends with Martin’s new flame, Dakota Johnson. The Goop founder and Hollywood actress was seen recently in the company of the young Fifty Shades of Grey star, while they both attended Derek Blasberg’s party, that was held to commentate his birthday.

Blasberg, Youtube’s head of fashion partnerships and a close aide of many Hollywood A-listers, posted a few snaps of them at the party, which show Johnson and Paltrow smiling and sitting right beside each other at the dinner table. Another image shows Gwyneth wrapping her arm around Dakota, projecting how comfortable she is with her.

Chris Martin’s ex and present loves were not the only one’s present at the party. As seen in the images shared, the other esteemed guests at the table include How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, and Gwyneth’s husband Brad Falchuk, who is a producer. Chris Martin was missing.

Chris and Gwyneth “consciously uncoupled” (that’s divorce for us commoners) in 2014 after being married for 11 years and they share their kids, Apple and Moses, between them. While Paltrow moved on to marry Brad in September of 2018, the Coldplay frontman began dating Dakota somewhere in 2017. They kept their relationship low-key, and Dakota only confirmed in September 2018 that they were indeed together and that she was “very happy.”

Paltrow has always been candid about the fact that she and her ex-husband would always remain close, even as they were getting divorced (which was finalized only in 2016) and both would eventually move on with their lives. The Avengers actress posted an Instagram photo on 2017, which showed Falchuk and Martin getting together for a Sunday brunch. It carried the hashtag #modernfamily as it’s caption, indicating that all was fine between all of them.
