Daniel Martin is not just the duchess’ makeup artist, he has also been her longtime friend. His first tip to achieve a glowing face with makeup on is to exfoliate. Before putting on makeup, Martin suggests using an exfoliant first, which is very important to help even out the skin texture and tone. Prepping up the skin for makeup does not end there. Martin’s next step is the application of toning water, followed by a product containing the very popular ingredient hyaluronic acid, which traps moisture and helps plump the skin. Then comes the makeup application, and the makeup artist’s suggestion is to use long-wear foundation if you don’t want to do any touchup throughout the day.
