Dark Complexioned Women Thank Angela Bassett For Her Specialized Skin Care Range
Angela Bassett has been gracing our screens for more than 30 years and might we just add that she’s been looking amazing while doing so. Her glowing and fresh-looking skin always made us green with envy, but behind the scenes, Angela admits that she struggles with skin issues. That’s one of the major reasons why she collaborated with her friend and skincare expert Dr. Barbara Strum to craft a skin care line which caters specially to the issues of ladies with darker skin tones.
Angela was a regular user of Barbara’s original skin care line for a long time, using it to treat her usual irritations and breakouts. Over time she realized that the products did not address the issues of women with darker complexion, like that of hyperpigmentation. A common issue with darker skin tones, hyperpigmentation is the darkening of some parts of the skin on the body and face because of the over production of the pigment melanin, the same stuff that gives our skin, color.
Dr. Sturm heard Angela out and decided to expand her line of products after 2 years of rigorous research, ‘Darker Skin Tones by Dr. Barabara Sturm’ came about. It is a godsend for people who are dealing with inflammation, uneven skin tones, hyperpigmentation and enlarged pores. The main ingredient in the product is a herb called purslane and an enzyme called telomerase, which imparts youthfulness in the skin. So then, you can add anti-aging to the long list of benefits this product gives you.
Darker Skin Tones by Dr. Barabara Sturm has 5 distinct products; enzyme cleanser, foam cleanser, face cream rich, face cream and a hyaluronic serum. Priced between $58 and $335, the range is definitely on the higher side, but totally worth it if it does everything it promises to do. You can pick them up at a Harrods store or can even order them online.
